Cantata Learning Expands Team with Veteran Educational Publisher

Award-winning author and editor of books for children andyoung adults will add her expertiseto the Cantata Learning team as Publisher.

sdrfNorth Mankato, MN—May 18, 2016— Cantata Learning, publisher of high-interest educational books and music, is pleased to announce that Patricia Stockland has joined the company as Publisher. In this role, Ms. Stockland will continue to grow the Cantata Learning catalog of titles as well as expand relationships with authors and musicians.

She understands the types of books and music that captivate children while at the same time provide rich learning experiences.”

Most recently, Ms. Stockland was employed as Vice President, Editor in Chief at Lerner Publishing Group. With nearly 20 years of experience as an editor and author, Ms. Stockland’s background will propel Cantata Learning’s vision of providing young learners with engaging, multi-sensory learning experiences. In addition to numerous poems and scholarly articles, Ms. Stockland has written more than seventy books for children and young adults, garnering national and regional awards, including a nomination as a MAGS scholar. She attended the University of St. Thomas and earned a Mini Master of Marketing Management degree. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Literature from Minnesota State University, Mankato. “I am excited about the opportunity to be part of such a unique publishing concept,” shared Ms. Stockland. “I am passionate about providing teachers, librarians, parents, and children with high quality books and believe that pairing text with music greatly enhances and enriches the learning experience.”
