Give a Shout to Your Community Harmony Project

Join the Project!

It’s a new school year and you’re building a whole new community with your students. Our current Harmony Project celebrates communities of all kinds, from your classroom and students’ families to your town, state and beyond. This global project is a great opportunity for students to learn, connect with their communities and be creative. You can incorporate English language arts, science, social studies, math, technology, and social emotional learning into lessons and units about community.

There are lots of ways to participate!

  1. Watch one or all of our free virtual People in Your Community Meet & Greets featuring diverse professionals ranging from a farmer and a chef to an author and an optometrist! Check out the speakers.
  2. Give a shout out to your community. Send us a short video that showcases a community that your students belong to. Learn more.
  3. Submit a lesson, unit or project that you do with your students. Teachers and librarians from around the world will submit their lessons and we will share them with you. Get lesson and project ideas.

We’ve put together a ton of resources and ideas in a Symbaloo to help you get started.
