“Engineers Solve Problems (9781632906229, $25.49) is an excellent science related book for science teachers of young children. The children learn to apply the same steps used in engineering as they build a bridge. The authors have presented the written material to be read aloud or singing the words with music. There is a CD that accompanies the book with the lyrics and music so the teacher can play the song and sing along. The authors have included a glossary, guided reading activities, and additional resources. Even though the authors do not mention the Next Generation Science Standards directly, the science is related to design and redesign in the practice of science.”
